Another Tuesday that I am posting my Sunday Stitches & Stuff post! Either I need to change the name or work on a better schedule for my postings. Truly though, this post covers my week up until midnight on Sunday, or whenever I finally drop into bed, so it makes sense that it takes me a bit to process and write up everything. Anyway, I’ll figure it out one of these weeks. Moving on, last week was a very cold and windy week, ending with a wonderfully sunny and warm weekend, that had me longing for summer, Cape May & flip flops! Overall the week went by very smoothly, one or two hiccups, but mostly it was good week.
This project is just so time consuming! The major issue is the floss. It came with the kit and it knots and twists constantly. I had to frog out entire rows multiple times. My beeswax and thread conditioner do not seem to be helping either. Very frustrating. Thankfully I am done with it for a bit; this week I started on my Seasonal Quilts project.
Valentine’s Day Gift
This week I spent time putting together a small Valentine’s Day Gift for my hubby. Since he hasn’t seen it yet, I’ll show you next week, but it turned out really cute and I hope he likes it. In the meantime, here is a Project Life page I put together this morning inspired by Valentine’s Day.
On Thursday I attacked my junk drawer with profound success. When I started, it was so bad that I couldn’t even open it sometimes. After I dumped everything out, I purged the trash and items I really don’t need, then I sorted the items and arranged them in drawer organizers from the dollar store. Before putting the organizers in the drawer, I did line the drawer with shelf liner, but you really can’t see it with everything in place. Actually, I was able to purge some of my office supplies and condense then into the drawer, as well. Now I have a beautifully organized drawer with everything I use on a regular basis. In fact, I told my husband that it is no longer called the junk drawer, I believe that implies that it is okay if it is “junky’, it is now called the utility drawer. Here is a look at the before and after:
Our week ended with a surprise. On Saturday afternoon we went out to start looking at cars, as we are in a position for my husband to get a car. My husband was interested in a truck, and I thought we were just going to go out and window shop to get an idea of what he wanted. To my surprise, he drove off the lot with a brand new pick up truck!
Thanks for reading, come back next week to see what I’ve been up to and have a week filled with love and gratitude.
